CAROLINA CERISOLA
Carolina Cerisola was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She commenced her career as a professional dancer performing at the age of 16 on Argentinean prime-time television shows, headlining the best venues in Buenos Aires. At the age of 19, she moved to the United States to further her career and became the dancing partner of one of the world’s top salsa dancers, Johnny Vazquez. Together they toured Europe and Latin America with the International Salsa Congress sponsored by Bacardi, which led them in 2001 to take first place in the world’s largest salsa championship held in Los Angeles. After six years of touring the world as a renowned salsa dancer, Carolina decided to team up with Ivan Kane in Los Angeles, to create Forty Deuce – a Burlesque Cabaret that had become one of the most celebrated hot-spots in Hollywood. As a headliner there, people from across the globe became familiar with Carolina’s unique Burlesque and Latin flavored style of dancing, when the Bravo Channel decided to document the rising success of Forty Deuce, in a reality TV show focused around Carolina. She has been a recurring guest star in several TV shows, such as the Jimmy
Kimmel Show and performed in an array of movies such as David Lynch’s “Island Empire,” “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang” and “Undiscovered” which marked the debut of her choreographing career. Carolina’s unique talent and dance style prompted many acclaimed artists like Prince, Sting, Justin Timberlake, Heath Ledger, Fiona Apple and Daniel Lanois, to collaborate with her on an array of artistic projects including music videos and a complete tour as a headlining guest dancer with Sting. Currently, Carolina is using her specialized dance and entertainment experience to produce projects in Hollywood and all over the globe with business partner, Sascha Escandon, under their partnership company, FLOOR PRODUCTIONS.
SASCHA ESCANDON
Sascha is a Los Angeles native that started her life out as a ballet dancer. Her training in Los Angeles led to her admission into the Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive at age 12. Continuing with ballet and adding jazz and hip-hop classes to her dance training allowed her the opportunity to work with many named instructors and choreographers in LA and becoming a young assistant to choreographer Marguerite Derricks (Austin Powers, Showgirls).
At 16, Sascha took a break from dance to explore University life. She studied Graphic Design and Animation at Woodbury University and graduated with a BS in Animation. There, through her own department and the others of architecture and fashion, she broadened her artistic perspective while discovering another side of creative strengths.
Dance though, was still a draw for her and during her last year in college, she entered a work-study program at Moro-Landis dance studio where she was introduced to Salsa dancing. Becoming completely addicted to the music, culture and challenge of partner dancing, Sascha immersed herself into the salsa community. Her dance background primed her to quickly become a member of the two most renowned LA Salsa dance companies, Los Rumberos and Salsa Brava. With whom, she toured around the world to places such as India, Japan, Germany, Norway, Puerto Rico, NY and more, teaching, competing, choreographing and collaborating with some of the world’s best salsa dancers.
In 2001, Sascha jumped at the opportunity to work at MTV and became the Post Production Coordinator for the hit reality shows, The Osbournes – Seasons I,II,III, Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica – Seasons I&II, Carmen & Dave and many more during her four years with the network. The experience rounded out her professional resume and really defined her graceful leadership ability and “pressurecooker” production skills.
The experience and knowledge gained just from these three benchmarks in her life have shaped and equipped her to take on this passion she now pursues with business partner, Carolina Cerisola as FLOOR PRODUCTIONS.
